In a previous post, we talked about the benefits of 5 minutes of one-on-one, distraction-free play with your child. Today, we’re giving ideas about the kinds of toys and activities that are best for this.
Choose toys that encourage interaction, conversation, and imagination. Construction/building toys, art supplies, play sets (like doll houses, little people, farm, etc.), dress-up/make believe toys, play food are all great options. For this special play time, avoid electronic devices/toys, messy items, games with pre-set rules, and toys that encourage aggressive play.
