Dr. Jacque
Your Group Instructor
Help kids with anxiety or ADHD by focusing on your relationship first. I trained with anxiety and ADHD experts. I taught hundreds of families what to do differently to feel better. And then I became a parent. I tried to do all the “right” things. Sometimes I felt like a pro. Other times, I felt so frustrated when the “right” thing wasn’t working. Then I realized it. It wasn’t just about the strategy or the evidence-based tips. It was more about how I was going to be with my kids, than what I was going to do. And it was about our relationship. Your relationship is the foundation for everything else. Because what’s more important than any parenting tip is that connection, that trust. Parents I have worked with often wonder, “am I doing something wrong?” or “why is this so hard?” I want to change this and help everyone enjoy parenting a child with anxiety or ADHD.

Answers to Your Questions
If your question hasn’t been answered here – don’t hesitate to reach out!
I’m not sure if my child has anxiety or ADHD. Can you give us a diagnosis?
No, I cannot provide an evaluation for anxiety or ADHD or a diagnosis of anxiety or ADHD. I do not provide therapy services through group coaching. Parent coaching is for education and support only.
How is this different from individual or group therapy?
Therapy services are health care services aimed to treat specific problems, conditions, or diagnoses. Group parent coaching does not include psychotherapy or any other health care service. The goal of coaching is to help you gain confidence in your parenting and give you tools to meet your own goals. Parent coaching aims to improve the relationship between you and your child, increase your understanding of their needs, and gain knowledge about practical strategies.
How many parents will be in each session?
I want to keep groups small so that everyone gets the support they deserve. That way, we’ll focus on what’s most important to members of each group. Groups have a maximum of 8 registrants.
What if I can’t attend the virtual sessions live?
To get the most out of the group, I highly recommend you prioritize attending live, just as you would for any other important appointment. Of course, life happens! Recordings of sessions will be available for your convenience and review.
My child is already working with a mental health provider on anxiety or ADHD. Will this interfere?
No, it will likely be a helpful addition. Many mental health providers work with children individually. These parent coaching groups aim to support parents with kids’ anxiety and ADHD. They draw on cognitive-behavioral principles, which is the current gold standard for treatment of child anxiety, and PCIT which is a commonly recommended treatment for ADHD. Feel free to have a conversation with your child’s mental health provider about how these coaching groups can further support your child’s treatment goals.
Can I do this if I live outside the US?
Yes, coaching groups are open to parents and caregivers worldwide.
